The current master plan for the Eurokent site (right) is primarily focused on house building. A build of 550 houses have been proposed with with at least 360 of those houses being premium "family homes" and around 180 being cheap affordable homes.
Between May and July 2011 four public exhibitions were held in Broadstairs, Margate, Ramsgate and Westwood Cross. According tot he details of the freedom of information request a total of £43,219.56 was spent on the consultation with a firm called Local Dialogue who actually carried out the consultation.
Local Dialogue were appointed in 2007 through what Thanet District Council describe as a competitive bidding process. There are currently no figures available to indicate the total spent on consultations over this time period.
The results of the consultation are yet to be announced.
