Snow affects Thanet

Effects of the snow are still being felt as the area tries to cope with this years whiteness.

This morning Thanet woke up to a thick dusting of snow. Churches such as New Life Family Church cancelled services to keep worshippers safe from attempting to travel on difficult roads.

Police are warning people to stay home if they can. Buses are... mostly unknown as Stagecoach have not updated their website. This writer has heard that there are no buses trying the hills in Ramsgate and that buses are running a bit with lots of go slow and massive delay. As to which routes are going and how frequently any update from readers would help us al understand what is going on.

Police are warning motorists only travel today if their journey is “absolutely essential” after heavy snow fell across Kent. Most of the county woke up to find up to six inches of snow had fallen after showers swept in last night. Rail services are heavy disrupted while most of the county’s main roads remain passable with care.
